4:0 victory in the final against ESV Neustift-Innermanzing
The Champions League of women was held for the second time this year and the success story of ESV Union Vornholz (AUT) was enriched by another chapter in Klagenfurt. Angelina Gfäller, Simone Steiner, Nicole and Julia Feichtgraber won the title for the first time in the club’s history. With 8:3 and 6:3 (total 4:0/14:6) they clearly won both rounds against ESV Neustift-Innermanzing (AUT).
In the semi-finals, they were almost out of the competition. The Styrians had to fight hard against the title defenders from SU Stocksport St. Peter. After three rounds a draw of 3:3. At the end Vornholz won after an extension. Neustift-Innermanzing won their semi-final against GSC Liebenfels 4-0. The best three German teams were already out in the quarter final.
