2026 Stock Sport Champions League in Brunico

The 2026 Stock Sport Champions League is now history – and Brunico has impressively demonstrated what a special stage international Stock Sport deserves.

From 18 to 20 September 2026, Europe’s best club teams gathered at the Intercable ARENA Bruneck to compete for the Stock Sport Champions League title in the women’s and men’s competitions. The event was organised by the International Federation of Icestocksport (IFI) and hosted by the F.I.S.G. – Pustertal District.

It was clear from the moment one entered the arena: this venue is something truly special. The Intercable ARENA is undoubtedly one of the most impressive venues in international Ice Stock Sport.

The venue’s dimensions and modern facilities lent the sport an extraordinary atmosphere, the likes of which are rarely experienced at international events. The playing surfaces were in excellent condition, whilst spectators were able to follow the action directly from above, with a view of the entire playing area.

And this atmosphere was embraced in impressive fashion by the large number of spectators. Throughout the weekend, the athletes were treated to a setting that was more than worthy of a top-class international competition.

Exciting preliminary round in the men’s competition

Even the men’s preliminary round promised top-class Stock Sport and thrilling contests.

In Group A, the Italian host club ESC Luttach came out on top in commanding fashion. With six wins from six matches – totalling 12:0 points – the team dominated their group, achieving a stick point ratio of 53:17. They were followed by the Austrian EV Rottendorf Seiwald with 8:4 points.

In Group B, too, top-class Stock Sport was on display at the top of the table. SSV ASKÖ Weiz Nord clinched the group victory with 11:1 points and an impressive stick point ratio of 45:13. ESV Allmer Krottendorf followed in second place with 6:6 points.

In Group C, ESV Union Ladler Wang also remained at the top with 11:1 points. Having scored 48 stick points whilst conceding just 18, the team put in a strong performance in the preliminary round. Behind them, EV Eppan Berg qualified for the next round with 6:6 points.

Things were particularly tight in Group D. SSV Union Wenigzell secured first place with 9:3 points, but TSV Niederviehbach remained hot on their heels with 8:4 points. EC Gerabach also fought for the top places for a long time with 7:5 points.

This set the stage for some highly thrilling knockout finals.

TSV Niederviehbach crowned Champions League winners

In the men’s competition, the title ultimately came down to an Austrian-German showdown.

TSV Niederviehbach from Germany prevailed in the knockout final, thereby securing victory in the 2026 Stock Sport Champions League. Second place went to SSV Union Wenigzell from Austria.

Third place was shared by ESV Union Ladler Wang and SSV ASKÖ Weiz Nord. Behind them came EV Rottendorf Seiwald, ESV Allmer Krottendorf, EV Eppan Berg and ESC Luttach.

The men’s competition thus concluded with a German winner, whilst several Austrian and Italian teams battled it out for the top spots.

The women’s competition was also thrilling right up to the end

The women’s competition proved no less thrilling.

In Group A, AEV Niederdorf got off to a strong start. With 10:2 points and a stick point ratio of 46:22, the Italian team secured top spot in the group. They were followed by SV Lana Raika with 8:4 points.

In Group B, EV Moritzing Seiwald and FC Untertraubenbach were both on 7:5 points at the end of the preliminary round. The Italian women had the edge with a goal difference of 38:31 and secured first place.

The outcome in Group C was also particularly close. Both ESV Neustift-Innermanzing and TSV Peiting finished on 8:4 points. With a better goal difference, Neustift-Innermanzing took the top spot in the group. TSV Peiting followed closely behind.

This set the stage for exciting knockout finals in the women’s competition as well.

ESV Neustift-Innermanzing clinch the title

In the final, ESV Neustift-Innermanzing from Austria showed nerves of steel to secure victory in the 2026 Stock Sport Champions League.

Second place was claimed by EC Gerabach from Germany. Third place was shared by AEV Niederdorf from Italyand TSV Peiting from Germany.

The remaining places were taken by FC Untertraubenbach, SV Lana Raika, EV Moritzing Seiwald and ESV Union Vornholz.

The women’s final thus also reflected the international nature of the Champions League: teams from Austria, Germany and Italy took centre stage together in a top-class European club competition.

An arena that provides a special stage for Stock Sport

Alongside the sporting achievements, the Intercable ARENA was undoubtedly one of the big winners of the weekend.

The arena’s size and modern facilities lent Stock Sport an atmosphere rarely experienced at international events. The playing surfaces were in excellent condition, whilst spectators were able to follow the action up close from the stands.

The large number of visitors created an impressive atmosphere. Applause, cheers and the close proximity to the sporting action clearly demonstrated the potential of such an event.

Bruneck thus impressively demonstrated that international Stock Sport can also attract an enthusiastic audience in a large, modern sports arena.

Flawless organisation by Freddy Zimmerhofer and his team

An event of this scale is only possible through the collaboration of numerous dedicated volunteers. The organisation of the Champions League in Brunico was of the highest standard.

Organiser Freddy Zimmerhofer and his entire team did an outstanding job. From the preparations through to the execution, right down to the many details surrounding the competition, the event was superbly organised.

Those in charge on site created excellent conditions for the participating nations, teams, officials, referees and spectators. The professional running of the competition and the seamless cooperation between all those involved played a key role in making the 2026 Stock Sport Champions League in Brunico a special international Stock Sport event.

Stock Sport brings nations together

The Champions League, more than almost any other club competition, epitomises the international development of Stock Sport. Teams from different countries come together, compete against one another and, at the same time, experience the sense of community within the international Stock Sport family.

It is precisely events such as the one in Brunico that highlight the significance of Stock Sport now attained at an international level. The combination of sporting quality, professional organisation, an exceptional sports venue and an enthusiastic audience lays the foundation for a modern and attractive image of Stock Sport.

Brunico sends a strong signal

The 2026 Stock Sport Champions League in Bruneck was far more than just an international club competition. It was an impressive showcase for Stock Sport.

TSV Niederviehbach in the men’s competition and ESV Neustift-Innermanzing in the women’s can celebrate winning the 2026 Champions League title. At the same time, numerous other teams delivered strong performances, ensuring exciting and top-class competitions.

The Intercable ARENA provided an exceptional setting for the event. The large crowds created an impressive atmosphere, the participating teams demonstrated Stock Sport at the very highest international level, and the organising team led by Freddy Zimmerhofer impressively demonstrated just how successfully a major international event can be staged.
