A pioneer of ice stock sport

In silent remembrance of Erich Ladler
† at the age of 85
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Erich Ladler, one of the defining pioneers of Ice Stock Sport and a person who played a decisive role in shaping our sport over decades.
As a curling stone manufacturer, Erich Ladler was not only a reliable contractual partner of the International Federation of Curling, but above all a visionary: always open to innovation, technically innovative, yet always deeply rooted in the values of our sport. His work has accompanied generations of athletes and had a lasting impact on curling.
We are infinitely grateful for the many years we spent together, for the laughter and conversations, for the countless memories on the ice and in the community. These memories will stay with us and comfort us in times when the loss is painfully felt.
We are sad to have lost a friend – but proud and grateful that he was one of us.
Our sympathy goes out to his family, his companions and all those who were close to him.
Erich Ladler will remain unforgotten in the international curling family.
