European Cup and international comparison in the 2025 distance competition
From June 27 to 28, 2025, Oberbergkirchen will be all about international stick sports: The prestigious European Cup in distance shooting is coming back to this traditional town in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn.
Over two days, Europe’s best long-distance shooters will gather at the EC Oberbergkirchen shooting range to compete for centimeters, technique, and nerves of steel. Participants from Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, and other countries have announced their participation. Well-known names on the scene are expected, as well as up-and-coming young talents looking to prove themselves on the international stage.
Names such as Michael Späth (GER) and Sophia Albenberger (ITA) are synonymous with world-class performances and thrilling duels.
The event is being organized by EC Oberbergkirchen, which has made a name for itself in the stocksport scene thanks to its excellent organization and passionate club work. The Weitenbahn has been modernized in advance and brought up to the highest sporting standards – providing the perfect conditions for a high-class competition.
The European Cup will be held in several rounds. The athletes will compete against each other in different age groups and categories. On Friday, June 27, qualifying rounds will take place, in which the best shooters will qualify for the grand final on Saturday. Here, it’s not just about personal bests, but also about titles.
In addition to the sporting spectacle, spectators can look forward to a varied supporting program with culinary delights, music, and a festive award ceremony. There will also be a colorful program for families and children – a weekend full of excitement and community spirit is guaranteed.
