The Technical Commission (TK) is responsible for all technical matters.
The Technical Commission is tasked with submitting proposals for the modernisation of international Icestock rules, international game regulations and competitions organised by the IFI. Its proposals must first be approved by the IFI Executive Committee and then confirmed at the next IFI Congress.
The Technical Commission is also responsible for developing guidelines for the training and further education of referees.
The chair of the Technical Commission (IFI Vice-President for Sport) is responsible for the technical implementation of the World and Continental Championships and the Cup competitions.
IFI Technical Inspection Body
The IFI has a Technical Inspection Body to standardise and examine sports equipment which is subject to the supervision of the Chair of the Technical Commission (IFI Vice-President for Sport).

IFI Documentation and Communication
The IFI Documentation and Communication Department is primarily responsible for:
– maintaining and managing official documents and competition materials
– coordinating between the IFI, the national federations, and event organizers
– providing organizational support and coordination for international championships
– the editorial management and design of the IFI website
